This is a drill bit use as a cutting tools to create
cylindrical holes in concrete. This tool is held in by a drill which
rotates the bit to produce torque and axial force to create the hole. The
shank is the part of the drill bit grasped by the chuck of a drill.

Ikea Lamp (Lever and Screw)
The white piece of plastic I am holding acts as a lever to move the head of the lamp, the bulb of which is protected by a sheet of glass held in place by four screws. Ikea has it all.
