Energy(Chemical->Electrical->Mechanical)

Here is a Nerf Gun from my Dorm room that I modified. This NERF gun translates chemical energy to electrical energy in the battery, and then the electrical energy does computations in the circuitry and tells the gun when to fire. When it sends the signal, a motor inside the gun spins and transfers this rotational energy to a foam dart that fires far and wide.

Food Energy

Food contains energy measured in calories or kJ when consumed. The body digests the energy into usable chemical energy to drive body processes and create heat as a by-product.

Power Strip

When this power strip is plugged into a wall socket, and subsequently other devices are plugged into it, it converts electrical energy into an array of other forms of energy, including electrical (phone battery), radiant (laptop screen), heat (lamp), and mechanical (fan) energies.

Electrical Wall Socket

This wall socket provides an outlet for electrical energy. The electrical energy makes it's way through the power grid from the power production plant, where by some method, the mechanical energy of a generator is converted into electrical energy for consumers.

Battery

Here is a 1.5 V Akaline AAA battery. The battery consists of an anode, a cathode, and, and contains a chemical paste which contains chemical potential energy. This is converted to electric potential. The cathode is reduced, meaning it gains electrons, while the anode is reduced, meaning it loses electrons. Through flow of electrons, batteries power small devices to cars and other vehicles. This battery is used to power a set of Bose headphones.

Fan

When the fan is turned on, electricity runs through the electrical wiring to the fans motor, which in turn spins the blades. The rotation of the blades creates airflow through the room, which can cool your body when you are perspiring or overheated. A byproduct of the fan motor is heat, as the backside warms as the fan is run for long periods of time. The energy transfer in this immediate system goes from electrical to mechanical and thermal energy.
