Lola B12/60 LMP1 Coupe (Transportation)

Description: This is a racecar at Circuit of the Americas that raced in the American Le Mans Series during the International Sports Car Weekend in Del Valle, Texas. This racecar carries a single driver around the racetrack with incredible speed by converting chemical energy (fuel) to mechanical energy (wheel movement). This photo was taken by Caleb Cheung on September 20th, 2013 when they were racing to qualify for the race the next day.

Energy Hareem Usmani

Taken by Hareem Usmani at RLM on 11/8 at 10:50 am. This light is a form of light energy and electrical energy.

Energy - Watch

This watch operates on mechanical energy (which converted from the chemical energy stored in the batteries).

Energy-iPhone

iPhones consume energy when they are powered, using electrical energy. The iPhone battery also has the capability to store energy inside its battery using the batteries chemical properties.

Energy: Laptop

This is a picture of my friend's laptop. Laptops consume energy when they are powered, using electrical energy. The laptop battery also has the capability to store energy inside its battery using the batteries chemical properties.

Energy

Food Energy

Food contains energy measured in calories or kJ when consumed. The body digests the energy into usable chemical energy to drive body processes and create heat as a by-product.

A tree

Trees, like most plants, convert solar energy into chemical energy via photosynthesis in order to provide its cells with energy (a.k.a. food, in the form of glucose).

Kindle

This Kindle changes chemical energy from the battery into electrical energy to run the device. This electrical energy is then changed into radiant energy in the form of light to display the book on screen.

Energy that gives you wings

This Red Bull energy drink has chemical energy in it that is based off its ingredients. When drunk, the body converts the sugars and stored chemical energy into mechanical and thermal energy (body heat) as well as some chemical, thus giving one "wings" to give the extra boost to study, stay awake, or enjoy the taste of cranberry.

Banana -- Chemical to Mechanical

This flippin banana can be transferred from chemical energy to mechanical energy by our bodies. It passes through the body as a medium, but is still converted to keep us energized.

Chemical Energy: Ipod
