This beautiful device uses electricity to spew ink onto a piece of paper in specific places.
It was photographed in my room in Jester West.

HP Laser Jet Printer - Wheels and Axles & Gears

This is printer has many simple machines in the interior. The motor inside the printer turns gears which turn wheels on axles that move the paper from the paper feeder through the ink cartridges to the paper holder on the top of the printer.
